Professional Sales Consultant Administration Responsibilities

  • Driving sales to meet or exceed budget
  • Executing the company’s selling program
  • Providing excellent customer service during and after the sale
  • Ongoing internal sales training and development
  • Participating in company/vendor sales training classes to remain current on products, offerings, and programs
  • Learning about, embracing and informing customers about emerging technology to improve our sales numbers

Store Execution

  • Following opening and closing procedures, and balancing of books
  • Ensuring corporate responsibilities (policies and procedures) are followed
  • Managing merchandise through unloading, receiving, and loading mattresses for delivery or pickup
  • Communicating with management to keep them informed
  • Assisting in the administrative functions of the store
  • Completing projects and assignments as requested by the store manager
  • Create positive and lasting relationships with our vendors and suppliers

Store Merchandising

  • Ensuring merchandise and POP is current and displayed appropriately
  • Ensuring consistency of store pricing
  • Managing the movement of damaged, discontinued, and slow moving merchandise

Mattress Mattress Partnership Opportunities

Mattress Mattress® is unique in that the opportunity of becoming a business partner goes beyond anything most other retailers offer. We’ve grown from 1 store to 16 in Alberta and BC by partnering with those that exceed our expectations.

If you have the qualities listed above and have an entrepreneurial spirit, here’s how our partnership program works:

  • You need to work for us for a minimum of 1 year as a commission sales consultant
  • You need to show us that you’re capable of managing and training people
  • You need to be moveable. Partnerships are not available in cities where we already have partners. Openings currently exist for partnerships in Fort McMurray, Grand Prairie, Hinton, Lloydminster, and Okotoks
  • You need to have unencumbered cash to invest
  • If you pass all the above criteria and you’re ready to partner, we need to be able to find an “A” class location to lease, at a price and terms that meet our lease criteria
