This is a platform bed with a slatted mattress support. A boxspring is not required. This bed also works great with most adjustable beds by removing the slats. Simply use the legs included with your adjustable bed and wrap the Rochelle bed around the electric base(s) to provide a chic modern look with all of the wonderful benefits of an adjustable bed.
