Why Mattress Prices are Rising and How to Beat the Increase

At Mattress Mattress®, we’ve always believed that a
better night’s sleep starts with a better understanding of sleep products. Our

The Reality: Global Factors & Local Impact

If you’ve been following the news, you know that
global supply chains are facing significant pressure. Because we value
transparency, we want to share exactly what is driving the upcoming price
increases across the mattress industry: 

Raw Material Costs

High-density foams and specialty memory foams are petroleum-based
products. With current global conflicts impacting oil prices, the cost of the
chemical components used to create that perfect "contouring" feel has
risen sharply.

Steel Costs

The steel used in pocket coil systems is seeing price volatility. As a primary
component for support and durability, fluctuations in the global steel market
directly impact the cost of producing high-quality innerspring mattresses.

Freight Costs

The cost of manufacturers transporting these products have increased significantly.
Rising fuel surcharges and complexities of sourcing raw materials from around
the world have forced an industry-wide adjustment. 

A Window of Opportunity

This is an industry-wide shift. Most major
manufacturers have announced price increases ranging in percentages. While some
prices have already increased, most of our increases land between June 1st and
June 15th.

While these macro-economic factors are beyond our
control, we want to give our customers the chance to "grandfather in"
current pricing. If you have been thinking about upgrading your sleep system,
doing so before mid-June could save you hundreds of dollars.
